Repetitive Dramas or Tragedies
Author: Brigitte Champetier de Ribes
One can observe that in his family it is said that someone committed suicide in several generations, that the heads of the family went bankrupt from a certain age, that very violent accidents occur, that husbands die prematurely, that women have many unborn children, all this throughout several generations.
Or that several siblings suffer the same misfortune, thus showing the existence of a previous drama to which they are unknowingly faithful.
Also that the same person has again and again the same type of accidents or problems.
In any case, if we sense that we may be involved in a serious previous drama, we should do this exercise.
I imagine that previous drama, even if I don’t know what it is about, at a distance in front of me, towards the past.
I am in front of it.
First I alternate between representing the drama and representing myself until I can feel something.
Then, from my place I honor the suffering that occurred, with all my heart. With love and deep respect.
When I feel it, I will say some of these phrases, very slowly, waiting for the reaction of the drama before saying another one:
“I see you. I see the pain.
Now it’s all over.
It’s all paid for.
You can rest in peace now.
Thank you for being my ancestors.”
When I perceive that the drama has died [disappeared], I will turn to move forward into life.
